Summer is Here!

Summer’s here! With school out of session, we are ready to start our summer events for the Mid-Atlantic Trailblazer Foundation. There’s no better time to share our mission to get youths off their screens and outside exploring the great outdoors than this season. Our motto is “more green-time, less screen-time!” We kicked off our own summer hiking the Billy Goat Trail this past weekend. We had a blast getting through the difficult hike together, and the views were absolutely stunning. Of course phones were away during the experience, but we did manage to snap a few quick pictures. Below are some of our favorites spots from the hike.

This is only the start to a summer full of exploration and activity. Currently we’re busy summer-sitting, and we’re having a great time! We’re also planning for more activities throughout the summer including a fishing trip, back to school field day, painting landscapes, and more. We believe through these events we can reach out to more kids and help them understand the benefit of getting outside and engaging with one another - off devices.
